Thermal Imaging + Glass Blowing
I've been involved in an ongoing collaboration with filmmaker Ethan Steinman of Daltonic Films to film glass making processes using an incredibly precise thermal imaging camera that is able to capture temperature per pixel of film.
Using this technology, we wanted to gain quantifiable insight into what is happening at specific temperature ranges during the glass-making process. In our collaboration we hope to better understand the science behind 2,000 year old techniques.
